WhatSort ("we", "us") provides WhatsApp automation for Shopify stores. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. The short version: we collect only what's needed to send your automations, we never sell data, and you can delete everything by uninstalling the app.

1. Information we collect

Store details (store name, domain, contact email), order data required to send messages (customer name, phone number, order items and totals, tracking numbers), and message delivery metadata (sent, delivered, replied). Your WhatsApp session is established via QR scan; we do not know or store your WhatsApp password.

2. How we use your information

To send the automations you enable on your behalf, show analytics in your dashboard, process billing through Shopify, and provide support. We do not use customer data for advertising or profiling.

3. Information sharing

We never sell your data. We share it only with infrastructure providers needed to run the service (hosting, error monitoring), with Shopify for billing, or when legally required to do so.

4. Data retention

Message logs and order data are kept only as long as needed to operate your account. When you uninstall WhatSort, your data is scheduled for deletion in line with Shopify's mandatory data-removal webhooks.

5. Security

All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest (AES-256-GCM for credentials). WhatsApp session keys are encrypted and scoped to your account. Access to production systems is restricted and audited.

6. Your rights

You can request access, correction, export, or deletion of your data at any time by emailing privacy@whatsort.com. If you're in the EEA or UK, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority.

7. Cookies & tracking

We use essential cookies for sign-in sessions and privacy-respecting, aggregate analytics on this website. No third-party advertising trackers.

8. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we'll notify you by email or in-app before they take effect.
